# 18 Make an Origami Swan

Figured I would start with something simple, or what I thought was simple. Don't get me wrong you don't have to be a rocket scientist to make an Origami Swan but this frustrated the hell out of me! Hood folds are for the friggin' birds. No pun intended. But 15 minutes of struggling with evil printer paper and I managed to complete the infernal thing. Was it as satisfying as I thought it would be? Sure! I now know that Paper, along with ice, shoe laces, and corn bread has it out for me.

All joking aside I chose the Origami Swan to do first because it represents the blog itself. Origami was a way to give special meaning to what was written on the paper itself. Combining this with Ugly Duckling story, my swan and this blog represents change to me. Growing from that awkward, antisocial kid to something that kind of resembles a swan in my mind. This can be true for anyone, make a paper swan, write the word change in it, and send it out onto a lake or river and see where life takes you.

A Special Thanks to EpicFantasy who's video I used as a tutorial!
